Levels of DevelopmentLevels, or stages of development

Human consciousness moves through a series of levels on a spiral. Individuals at these stages tend to form distinct social environments, or holons. Higher levels of organizational development result in safe, trusting cultural ecosystems conducive to growth.

Researches have found that individuals must work through each stage of development in order to reach the next level. Each time an individual moves to the next level they transcend and include the prior level, understand and absorb. Their isn’t a clear distinction between levels as developmental growth is gradual and incremental. It is a progressive growth process up through the levels and development levels cannot be skipped.

Development levels have been divided into 8 levels.

  • Holistic/Evolutionary - Teal
  • Integral - Yellow
  • Sensitive/Pluralistic - Green
  • Achiever - Orange
  • Rule/Role - Blue
  • Impulsive/Safety - Red
  • Magic/Mystic - Purple
  • Instinctive - Beige
